It has been hell of a long time since i last blogged again as usual. Been quite busy trying to meet up with as many ppl as i could before leaving for my China CDS attachment for 3 weeks. Good times, and now im 2 days away from embarking on my adventure into the cradle of chinese civilization. Sounds good to me cept of course the traditional human fear of the unknown. Other than that sounds good to me! Drop me any msges at facebook or email i think i can read them there to reply u as much as i can. Ill be going Shi Jia Zhuang, Hebei for the curious ones. You all do take care while im there teaching chinese kids english (HAHA), i know my english is not that good. But hey i will try hard to do it ok :x Main aim is of course to sample FOOD, cant find in SG ones of course. Saturday, March 21, 2009 Today must be one of the most packed days of my hols. Woke up bright and early, met audrey then headed down to Woodlands to attend Serena's play Cinderella Revamped. Walau ALL LATE AH. Anyway the rest came and we headed down to Republic Poly. Hmm compared to my school looks very high techish. Anyway the play was umm enjoyable with some nice characters. So i took leave of the drama gang and hurried over to Boon Lay to meet Lin Xi to attend Yee Kai's Commissioning Parade. 72th Batch of Officer Cadets if i didn't rmb wrongly. Lousy taxi driver had a bad attitude and took awhile to find the place -.- Anyway i think it was quite an interesting display and the atmosphere was very very positive. After all this batch of ppl are finished with the all the crap from trianing and moving on. Especially the part where they threw their headgear and hugged each other in joy. Not to mention how proud parents must be to be able to change their sons ranks, girlfriends and grandparents were also out there in full force. And there was a rainbow too! talk about good omens haha. Great pic below taken with it. Breathtaking is a simple word to describe it. Caught quite alot of random people who were in OCS or visitng too. And i think its quite a waste of the land to build OCS there, maybe a resort would be more fitting. I may be stoned or charged, but u cant deny how beautiful the sunset was there. Or maybe the gahment purposely did it to attract more 'customers' aka officers? Only they know though i suspect strategic reasons, but see below for evidence. Had a buffet there compliments of YK before now rushing to city hall to Timbre - Substation. Managed to catch quite a few songs by band Gdfellas? Not bad ah they, crapped and chatted abit especially with the long missing Ali and Pet! Thus giving it a soothing end to me long day. Tuesday-Wednesday, March 10-11, 2009 The much anticipated, pushed, dragged and finally settled CYA Chalet. I think it went quite well programme wise, but turnout was not ideal. Maybe we din give advance notice enough, or ppl juz dun give a damn. Anyway, glad those we did come (hopefully) had fun, i know those who stayed did ah. I was watching u while i slept away haha. If u wanna know what happened gotta go catch some1 and ask. But oo better be prepared to regret not coming! take a glimpse from photos hah. Mandatory almost full group photo! What could this bunch of SRs be up to?! What are they paying attention to? (not TV duh) What are this bunch of ppl doing?! (sabo kelsen pic) Look interesting eh. Look out for part 2, CYA training session. Will be slightly less engaging coz im not incharge. But CYA there. |
